REMAX SA Adds a Local Touch to Its AI Room Visualisation Tool

REMAX Southern African has taken another step forward in digital property marketing by enhancing its AI room visualisation tool with African-inspired design styles. This update gives buyers a more locally relevant and engaging way to reimagine property spaces online.

Originally introduced to help buyers better visualise the potential of a property, the AI-powered tool allows users to digitally redesign interiors in real time. Instead of relying on imagination alone, users can now transform static listing images into interactive experiences, making it easier to see how a space could align with their personal style and lifestyle needs.

“We’re not only the first in Africa to roll out this kind of AI visualisation technology, but we’re also pushing the boundaries further by tailoring it to reflect African aesthetics and preferences. This enhances the user experience while also delivering measurable value to our network in the form of increased engagement and stronger buyer interest,” says Adrian Goslett, CEO and Regional Director of REMAX Southern Africa.

The impact of the tool has already been significant. In its first month alone, more than 34,800 style transfers were completed, alongside 7,970 product views. Users spent an average of 2.9 minutes engaging with the visualiser, while total sessions reached 8,000. These figures highlight how interactive technology can capture attention and encourage deeper engagement with property listings.

The introduction of new African-inspired templates, Afro-Bohemian and Safari Lodge Luxury, ensures that the experience resonates more strongly with local audiences.

Safari Lodge Luxury
This style is best suited for larger homes, estates, and bushveld properties. This style creates a sense of warm luxury. Oversized décor pieces are a key aspect of this aesthetic. Select large scale pieces and maintain a clutter free space to best embody this style.

Key Elements:

  • Deep browns, khaki, charcoal
  • Leather and dark timber
  • Large-scale furniture
  • Statement lighting (lanterns, iron chandeliers)
  • Animal-inspired textures (used tastefully)

Afro-Bohemian
This interior design style is best described as relaxed, layered, and soulful. The key to this style is to mix textures freely — perfection isn’t the goal; warmth and personality are.

Key Elements:

  • Rattan, cane, and woven furniture
  • Earthy tones with pops of rust, mustard, terracotta
  • Handmade baskets and wall décor
  • Layered rugs and throws
  • Indoor plants (especially large leafy ones)

As the property landscape continues to evolve, digital tools like this are becoming essential in bridging the gap between imagination and reality. By combining innovative technology with local insight, REMAX Southern Africa continues to redefine how properties are marketed and experienced, offering both buyers and sellers a smarter, more engaging way to navigate the property journey.
