CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF RE/MAX
This year, RE/MAX of Southern Africa is appropriately set to hold its biggest national agent convention in company history. This happens to coincide with the 50th anniversary of RE/MAX.
Founded in Denver, Colorado on January 30, 1973, RE/MAX has grown into the largest global real estate group with over 140,000 agents in over 110 countries across the globe. RE/MAX began operating in the South African market in 1995 and has since grown to over 2,980 agents operating out of 165 offices licensed in five countries in the region.
To celebrate their agents’ performance in 2022, RE/MAX of Southern Africa will hold a two-day 50’s themed conferencing event from 15-17 February 2023 at Sun City Resort. There will be an exciting line-up of speakers who are sure to leave the over 1,000 conference attendees feeling motivated, educated, inspired, and energised for the rest of 2023. The line-up includes professional speakers Richard Wright and Siphiwe Moyo, as well as one of the brand’s own respected mentors, Grant Gavin.
Also set to make an appearance are special guests Chip Brekken, RE/MAX LLC Director of Global Development for Europe, Africa & the Middle East; and Shawna Gilbert, RE/MAX LLC Senior Vice President of Global Development. Topping it all off will be MC & stand-up comedian, Alan Committie who will, no doubt, keep the crowd continually entertained as the day progresses.
To accommodate their growing guestlist, the brand has had to hire the Superbowl for their glitter & gold themed Awards Evening that is set to end off the conference. Attendees can expect live performances by the popular singer Rene Mabotha. Award-winning radio personality Elana Afrika will be the MC for this star-studded evening.
The event will also include tethered flights in the iconic RE/MAX hot air balloon, a fun team-building workout session, plenty of opportunities for networking, and of course, loads of awesome giveaways and prizes.
“This will be our first national convention since COVID struck over two years ago. Since then, our brand has grown by roughly 1,000 agents, which has allowed us to go even bigger and better for this event.
