"Victorianised early Cape c1860. This is a particularly attractive example of a communion/church house where farmers stayed over when attending church activities. In 1874, Dr F Biccard bought the property from the ‘Board of Church wardens’ of the Dutch Reformed Church. During later renovations the house was given a pitchroof and Victorian detailing.
