Southern Africa’s largest real estate franchise, RE/MAX, has recently announced that it will hold its first national convention since the pandemic. This two-day convention will take place in Sun City, Johannesburg, on 15-17 February 2023.
This convention promises to be the biggest one yet, as the brand has seen exceptional growth since the pandemic hit over two years ago. “We’ve gone from over 2,400 agents to just under 2,900 agents in the past two years,” explains Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, Adrian Goslett.
The brand has grown so large that venues have had to be upscaled to accommodate everyone. For this reason, the Awards Ceremony for the convention 2023 will take place in the Superbowl at Sun City.
The convention also coincides with the 50th Anniversary of RE/MAX LLC, the master franchisor in the US. To celebrate this, the convention will be themed accordingly, with a Glitter and Gold Awards Ceremony and a 50’s inspired “Rock ‘n Roll with RE/MAX” opening general session.
Since the brand’s inception fifty years ago, RE/MAX has grown into the largest global real estate group and has been recognised for the past ten consecutive years as the leading real estate franchise in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500®. Locally, RE/MAX began operating in the South African market in 1995 and has slowly expanded to 165 offices spread across the region. As things stand today, nobody in the world sells more real estate than RE/MAX.
“We are incredibly excited to host the convention in 2023. It has been a long time since we have been able to gather together as a network and I am sure everyone is looking forward to the opportunity to catch up with colleagues and friends from the other regions. We cannot wait to see you all there,” says Goslett.
