Idyllic Luxury Tented Resort Located in Breath Taking Vioolsdrift, on the Orange River

Located on just over 1.2 hectares of land on the border between South Africa and Namibia, 6km from the Vioolsdrift border entrance - this unique resort consists of six luxury tented chalets which are all en-suite, fitted with air conditioning, bar fridges, tea and coffee making facilities and boast crisp white linen, inviting the weary traveler to rest his head in a long lost tranquil environment. Furthermore, there are 3 private covered braai areas with seating at the chalets.

There are two sufficiently equipped self-catering kitchen bomas for guests with built in braai’s, stove and oven, microwave and seating. A three tier swimming pool provides family entertainment and a refreshing drip after a long travel! Enjoy a refreshment while watching your children clamber on the organic jungle gym. Frontier has been awarded the Sleeping Out Awards for Best Value for Money and Best Establishment, Vioolsdrift from 2015 running and boasts a 9.2 rating on a well known accommodation booking website.

The main house is a throwback to “rustic farm house”. It has an entertainment patio with a big screen TV (DSTV), sound system, lounge area, restaurant seating where meals are served and guest WC fitted with a shower. The patio looks out onto the gardens with majestic views of the Orange River and rolling mountains of Namibia – it is temperature controlled with evaporative water coolers and ceiling fan. Furthermore, there is a main firepit and braai with kitchenette boma – this is then attached to an “all out fun” bush bar (known as the highest bar in Vioolsdrift), looking onto a shaded sundowner deck and second guest WC equipped with a shower. The main kitchen is equipped to cater for tour groups and is fitted with gas hob and air conditioning.

There is a large office and reception area (also air conditioned) with patio to greet guests upon entry, a “family style” room and bathroom which can accommodate four guests . A second room and bathroom is for management, with TV port and air conditioning. There is a laundry, store room, fridge area and bar facilities. The establishment has Wi-Fi and credit card facilities. Another boma and shaded patio at the pool provide an ideal setting for sun lounging and relaxing while enjoying the sound of running water. A separate rustic reed hut sleeps two guests and is for the more adventurous who want to watch the stars.

A camp site provides the option to accommodate the more informal guest. 35 000L water filtration system, garden irrigation, back-up generator, workshop and tool shed. Staff accommodation for two is en suite with kitchenette, air conditioning, DSTV port and washing machine. This idyllic, peaceful setting is unrivaled…providing a lifestyle long forgotten in a very safe and secure environment. The property lends itself to off grid living. Viewings by appointment only.
