History of bulls in the Herd

Beast – 45¾” - has bred numerous 47”+ bulls.

2012-2015:
Alexander – 46”(Sire Beast)
Generaal – 48?”(Sire is a half brother of Beast 50”)
Generaal was the dominant bull in the herd at this time and the sire most of the time of the calves was Generaal, therefore Alexander remained with the herd after the herds separation until 2018.

Cassander – 45” (Was removed from the herd on the 7th of July 2023 and sold)
On the 2nd of September 2023 a new buffalo bull named Marakele, measuring 47¼” at 6 years and 7 months old with a SCI of 122.25, was acquired from Nyumbu on their 18th Annual Game Auction. The bull is not with the herd yet but will be within the next month. His dam is a 53” Tyson daughter and his sire is Bongani measuring 48½”. Bongani has a Madikwe bloodline sire as well which made him the obvious choice to replace Cassander to stay within the sought Madikwe bloodline. His dam was a 33¾” cow and she has a dam of 34” as well. Marakele is also the paternal brother of 50”+ Khanyiso and 50”+ Kafu.
