Each cottage is named after various Cycad species and these are surrounded by magnificently designed gardens show-casing these indigenous age-old, exquisite plants in rock gardens beautifully landscaped by a professional, cycad expert.

The Lodge is situated in the northern Drakensberg Mountains and is nestled on the foothills of the Mariepskop Mountains. The sheer krantzes of these mountains act as a backdrop to our five spacious, private units and three luxurious, intimate tented camps, which make for a perfect honeymoon getaway.

The lodge offers a magnificent restaurant, deck, al-fresco bar, boma and infinity swimming pool overlooking the endless bush veld. 

The lodge is situated 28 km outside Hoedspruit and within short driving range of many of the area`s splendor's such as the Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon. Other attractions in close proximity are Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre, Kapama Cheetah Project, Khamai Reptile Park, boat trips on the Blyde dam, and also river rafting on the Blyde River.

Perfect location for birding enthusiasts as this is a perfect environment for prolific bird life boasting over 500 species of birds. With breath-taking scenes of natural beauty and our unique attention specific needs we will ensure that every return visit will be a unique experience.

1. Chalet 1- Nubi Cottage - 2 Bedroomed cottage with double and 2 single beds and a bathroom - toilet/shower. Full kitchen, dining room, lounge and patio. Stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses, DSTV flat screen and security safe. Sleeps 4 Adults

2. Chalet 2 - Laevi Cottage - 2 Bedroomed cottage with a Queen size and 2 three quarter beds and a bathroom. Full kitchen, dining room, lounge and patio. Stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses, DSTV flat screen and security safe. Sleeps 4 Adults

3. Chalet 3 - Cerinus Cottage - Double story, wonderful views and tastefully decorated. 2 Bedrooms and 2 open plan rooms with a Queen size and 2 x ¾ beds, bathroom - shower/toilet. Full Kitchen, Dining Room, Lounge, stove, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and DSTV and flat screen TV. Sleeps 8 Adults

4. Chalet 5 - Pauci Cottage - Romantic and classy with exquisite views of the Lowveld from the balcony. Lovely outside shower and Victorian bath in the bedroom. Full Kitchen, lounge and patio. Stove, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, DSTV and flat screen. Bathroom with outside shower. Sleeps 2 Adults

6. Ferox Backpacker - Ferox is available for guests travelling on a tight budget. Due to the need for a budget-friendly unit, we decided built Ferox. It consists of 2 single beds in a spacious room, bathroom with shower and an undercover braai area & self-catering essentials. Sleeps 2 Adults

7. Ituri Tent 01 - Luxury Tent with air conditioning, en-suite and kitchenette. Own plunge pool with exquisite views over the Lowveld and beautiful deck. Sleeps 2 Adults

8. Ituri Tent 02 - Luxury Tent with air conditioning, en-suite and kitchenette, lovely deck with stunning views. Private and Romantic. Sleeps 2 Adults

9. Villa Villosus - Villa Villosus is a 2 bedroom unit- one room with a queen size bed and the other with two 3/4 beds. There is also a possibility of 2 more beds for family stays. It has a private kitchen, verandah, lounge and is a very comfortable unit. Sleeps 4 Adults and 1 child
