My name is Mbongiseni “Mbongi” Zuma married to Nonhlanhla. We have one son Siphosenkosi. I was born in the rural area called Impendle near Underberg. I grew up without a father - he passed away when I was 4 years old. My illiterate mother had to go looking for a job in order to feed us, and she ended up working as a maid in Howick - so together with my 3 siblings, we were left under our grandmothers’ care.
I attended school during difficult times in our country but during my grade 11 year my mother became seriously ill and left work - as result, I had to leave school as well.
I started to look for employment and enroll in short courses - security was the easiest during those days. I became a security guard and continued to upgrade myself until I achieved my National Key Point qualification.
I then left security to study Theology (at the George Whitefield College linked to Potchefstroom University) in Cape Town. I passed my Bachelor’s Degree without matric – I call that a miracle. After my studies, I returned to KZN for full-time ministry. I have worked as a pastor for 22 years; although my other interest was to be a Real Estate Agent. Whilst I was working as a pastor, I did my matric through distance learning (Intec College) and passed it.
Today here I am with RE/MAX Midlands. My only mission and goal as a Real Estate Agent is to carry out your mandate and to complete it on time and successfully.
I thank God for continue using me to help others.
