RE/MAX SA NETWORK PERFORMANCE IN 2021

It can be overwhelming deciding who to partner with when selecting a real estate brand. We’re here to make your life a little easier by telling you why RE/MAX agents are the right choice. Whether you are buying, selling, or leasing, RE/MAX has a local real estate advisor who is best equipped to assist. Below are just a few of the reasons why we can call ourselves the #1 brand in real estate...

LARGEST FOOTPRINT = LARGEST REACH

Over 1000 agents joined RE/MAX SA in 2021, bringing our network to over 2870 agents operating out of 162 offices across Southern Africa. Internationally, there are over 143,000 RE/MAX agents operating in over 110 Countries and territories across the globe. For the 38th year in a row, RE/MAX is ranked among the top-rated franchise brands, according to Entrepreneur’s 2022 Franchise 500® survey. This means that RE/MAX has the broadest footprint, which means that more clients work with RE/MAX and this, in turn, improves the chances of securing a fast sale on any home.

Our network also offers the widest support structure for our agents and access to a wealth of knowledge that assists them in selling, buying, or renting homes more effectively. In fact, RE/MAX is also a trusted source of advice within the online media space. 44% of online real estate articles quoted RE/MAX instead of a competitor.

TOP AGENTS CHOOSE RE/MAX

Last year, 543 of our agents earned over a million Rand in commission. The average commission per agent – and, remember, this includes rookie agents who aren’t earning yet – was over R600,000. This points to the fact that our agents were working double-time to sell all their listings as quickly as possible and for full value.

As a result of their hard work, our Registered Sales totals for 2021 were up by 55%. That means more homes sold than ever before! Over 150,000 homes were listed on our website. On average, our website listings were marked as sold in just 61.2 days.

RE/MAX of Southern Africa remains the number one real estate brand in terms of the number of homes sold and the number of sales associates, outnumbering the next largest real estate brand by over 1,000 agents. Simply put, more agents choose to join RE/MAX than any other real estate brand.

A BRAND THAT CARES

The RE/MAX Foundation, which is a registered public benefit organization that aims to positively impact the lives of people in Southern Africa, has paid out over R620,000 to worthy causes in 2021. Since its inception in 2012, the Foundation has raised over R7 million in donations that go towards its national beneficiaries, including The Reach For A Dream Foundation, Sporting Chance, and the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, as well as various local causes, from supporting animal shelters and soup kitchens to contributing towards relief funds when disaster strikes.

“We love to find ways to give more people opportunities to provide a better life for their families and loved ones – whether this takes the form of onboarding new agents and enabling them greater earning potential, or helping clients find homes that are better suited to their needs and offers them a better lifestyle. I could not be prouder of what our collective team (everyone in RE/MAX) has achieved last year and I have high hopes for what we can achieve in the year ahead,” concludes Adrian Goslett, Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa.
