Richards Bay Properties

The fast-developing tourist town of Richard’s Bay in KwaZulu-Natal, boasts South Africa’s largest harbour as well as an interesting past. Sir Frederick Richards, the Commodore of the Cape, established the makeshift harbour during the Anglo Boer war, which soon prompted a bustling settlement to spring up around it that expanded into today’s Richard’s Bay.

Today the area is growing from strength to strength, with desirable residential properties, as well as business and commercial real estate. Known predominantly as an industrial town and seaside-vacation destination, the area strongly promotes the idea of industrial tourism. This allows people access to mines and plants via informative, guided tours.

Aside from the buzzing harbour which is a hive of perpetual activity and amusement, the glimmering beaches present a wonderful opportunity to relax in the sunshine, lying on the golden sand immersed in a good book or to delight in the various water sports on offer. Try fishing for your own supper, go surfing and catch a wave or two, hop on board a luxurious yacht for a decadent cruise or simply enjoy a dip in the inviting sea.
